A tournament with unlimited abilities
The day before, a football match was organized among teenagers in the Chechen Republic. Total of 50 kids participated (10 in each team). The hosts met with the kids from Ingushetia, North Ossetia and Dagestan. The tournament was held as part of the events marking 66th anniversary of the North Caucasian people deportation. Its main difference from other matches was in the players, who are usually called people with limited abilities. However, the kids once again disproved this stereotype having shown that their abilities were unlimited!
Not only athletes, but also emotions, competed on the field. The spirit of contest competed with the atmosphere of the holiday, and the rivals did not really meet their role – they were rather a family, who agreed to lead a healthy lifestyle. So it finally happened. There were no losers in the match, the winner was sport! All teams received Cups and football uniforms, purchased within the
"Look at life from a different angle" mass media campaign, implemented by the FOCUS_MEDIA Foundation.
It should be added that the participants in the tournament are not amateurs, but real professionals, who for many years have been actively involved in sports. Now the event organizer -
"Laman-Az" NGO – is planning to host a race of persons with disabilities in the central street in Grozny and two tournaments on mini-football. Report on the tournament see in “Photo gallery”
