Fans of extreme sports gathered at the festival in Lipetsk

Winter festival of extreme sports was held on February 13 in Lipetsk. A snowboarding competition was organized on the ski slopes in the vicinity of the Oktyabrsky Bridge. The participants competed in two Olympic disciplines: big air and snowboard cross.

The first of them was show snowboard jumping, the second - parallel racing of several athletes down the special tracks with numerous jumps and curves. The best participants were awarded certificates, medals and prizes from sponsors.

The sports festival was held in the region for the first time as part of the FOCUS-MEDIA Foundation's interregional project "Involving young people in civic activity with the aim of preserving their health and developing life skills" The organizers of the competition, with the assistance of the region’s domestic policy management, were: the Regional Center for Youth Initiatives and Projects Implementation, the "Grind" Youth Club of Extreme Sports and the Association of Students of the Lipetsk region.
